YSI Projects 2013
There are currently over three hundred YSI projects taking place throughout Ireland involving thousands of young people who are demonstrating their commitment to society by tackling some of Ireland’s most pressing social needs.
The range of social issues being addressed by this year’s participants is huge: from mental health awareness and suicide prevention campaigns to human trafficking; from tackling cyber bullying to promoting farm safety; from creating community facilities for various neglected groups to tackling homelessness and from developing intergenerational initiatives to combatting racism, the topics being addressed by this year’s social innovators are inspiring.

An innovator is someone who sees what everyone is seeing, who thinks what nobody else is thinking and who does what no-one else dares.
The participants of the Young Social Innovators programme are daring to make radical changes within their communities and beyond to improve the lives of those affected by the social problems they are addressing.
Support the young social innovators in your area and help to empower Ireland’s youth to change the world for good.
