Students from St. Mary’s Secondary School, Irishtown, New Ross, Co. Wexford have placed third in the Young Social Innovator of the Year Awards 2013. Their project ‘Be Irish, Buy Irish, aims to promote Irish goods in the local community.
Dublin, 8th May 2013: Students from John The Baptist Community School, Hospital, Co. Limerick have been named runners up in the Young Social Innovators of the Year 2013. Their project, Click, aims to promote road safety among teenagers.
RTE1’s Morning Edition attended the YSI Annual Showcase and spoke to some of the people taking part in the Social Innovation as well as YSI’s CEO, Rachel Collier.
Dublin, 8th May 2013: Students from Eureka Secondary School, Kells have been named the Young Social Innovators of the Year 2013. Their project, Bring Organ Donation into Education, aims to educate teenagers about the option of organ donation before they leave secondary school.
The 2013 YSI Showcase took place in the Citywest Hotel in Dublin on Wednesday 8th May with a new Young Social Innovators of the Year being crowned!
A YSI Social Innovation Café evening will take place in Dublin on 25th April in Café Rothar, Fade Street, Dublin 2. Free coffee and inspirational conversation. Come along!
