Inviting Applications for the Starbucks Youth Action fund

If you are aged 16-24 and have a great idea for a project that will impact the young people in your community, you could get up to €2000 in funding from Starbucks Youth Action. All Dublin-based Young Social Innovators’ project teams should apply!

This programme inspires and empowers young people from Dublin and Belfast to make a difference in their communities by applying to Starbucks Youth Action for seed funding and volunteer hours from Starbucks partners. As well as supporting the young people to bring to life the projects that mean the most to them, the programme also offers training to young people on managing a budget, working with volunteers and project management.

 

Entry criteria for 2012 are:
- Have you got a BIG idea that will make a real difference to your local area?
- Are you between the ages of 16 and 24?
- Would you like to pitch your idea for money to make it happen?

 

NOTE: Deadline for entry is the 5th March 2012

 

The project must create positive social change and enable young people between 16 - 24 to be inspired to create such change in their local community. Some pointers to help you:
1. Youth-led: this means it should be your idea and you are the ones that will make it happen
2. Clear and realistic: you have 4 months to get your ideas into action and achieve your goals
3. Good value for money: you will have up to €2000 to fund your idea (but maybe you can get more elsewhere)
4. It will have a direct benefit and impact on the young people in your community: this could mean more smiles in your neighbourhood!

 

When you are ready to submit:

- Complete the form with your answers. You must answer every question. If you cannot answer a question, put N/A.
- Click ‘Submit Form’
- Type in your email address and full name when prompted
- Click Send
- Select your email option – if you use an internet email (like Gmail, Yahoo or Hotmail), choose the second option
- It will prompt you to save your form – make sure you save it somewhere safe under Youth Action Application Form
- Open up your email
- Create a new email and attach the form. The form MUST be saved and attached as Youth Action Application Form only.
