The aim of this project was to highlight the problem of anti social behaviour in Dundalk. Information on the issue was collected from local newspapers and many organisations such as the HSE and Road Safety Authority were contacted.

A research questionnaire on Antisocial Behaviour was designed and conducted among the public, student body and students in D.K.I.T.  Many external links were made and a wide variety of speakers came to the school to give presentations on the topic. These included a member of The Traffic Corps, Garda Eugene Collins and Ciaran Markey, drugs officer with the HSE. Jackie Burke, a reformed drug addict, was interviewed as a case study.

On analysis of all the compiled information it was noted that anti social behaviour is a major issue and the group decided to create awareness of the issue. The group came up with a slogan TIME-This is Massive Everywhere. To tackle the problem, an information booklet was compiled and will be sold as part of a Mini Company project. A short film was produced by the group and this is part of the group’s awareness packs along with a pen, notebook and key ring all containing the slogan TIME. An awareness week was held in the school and a part was also played in National Spring Clean Week in order to lead by example.
