YSI Annual Showcase
YSI’s Annual Showcase is the largest celebration and showcasing of civic action and social innovation in Ireland.
Thousands of social innovators convene to celebrate and showcase the YSI project work done over the course of the year in communities in all corners of Ireland. The Showcase has been described as the best teenage event in Ireland!
Things that happen there…
The Young Social Innovators of the Year are announced on the day. This follows the presentation by selected YSI Teams of their project work throughout the morning. A YSI Panel listens and questions each team and have the unenviable job of selecting the top YSI team and project.
YSI Theatres
YSI teams present their work in theatres to large audiences of peers, invited guests and members of the public.
Creating a Better World
Organisations who work to change the world for good are also present to platform their work, support students and disseminate information to teachers and others attending. Centres of Social Innovators Exhibition
Work carried out by YSI Advocate Teams in Centres of Social Innovators (link?) is exhibited at the Showcase for all to see.
Awards Ceremony
A really exciting Awards Ceremony is part of the Showcase extravaganza. Every year some honored guests appear. Challenge awards are presented to teams and the overall title Young Social Innovators of the Year is announced.
