YSI Professional Development
YSI provides comprehensive training and support to YSI Guides (i.e educators) who facilitate its programmes. It introduces to them its unique model for social innovation practice and learning, known simply as the 4 C’s of Social Innovation.This model can be applied to any of a variety of thematic areas such as human rights, development, environmental and health education themes.
Excellent active learning methodologies are accessed as well as links to specialised information on a wide range of social issues, which enable YSI Guides to facilitate this youth led learning programme.
Each year new dimensions and methodologies are introduced. The sharing of experiences amongst YSI Guides contributes to the building up of pedagogical skills in social innovation education.

Certification
Attendance at both workshops and guiding a YSI team throughout the year, means an educator is eligible for Certification as a Social Innovation Guide.
