Want to do something fun with your family or friends?
Why not undertake a YSI Challenge and raise funds to help ensure all young people in Ireland have a chance to change the world for good?
What is a YSI Challenge?
A YSI Challenge is any goal or task you set and complete as a team (at least 2 members) to raise funds for YSI.
There are any number of activities that you could participate in and raise sponsorship for. The only thing limiting you is your imagination! It may be something that you can do straight away or it may be something that you have to train for, like running a marathon for example.
Some examples of YSI Challenges are:
- Walking 10km
- Organising a Table Quiz
- Climbing a mountain
- Organising a non-uniform day

Who might take part in a YSI Challenge?
- Past participants of YSI
- Parents, Family and Guides of YSI participants
- Volunteers and Supporters of YSI
- Companies and Partners
How do you get involved?
1. Contact the office and tell us what challenge you will undertake.
2. We will then post you a fundraising pack (including sponsorship forms).
3. Ask your friends and family to sponsor you.
4. It’s as simple as that!
You can also register your challenge on the Young Social Innovators page on MyCharity.ie and invite your friends and contacts to sponsor you.

What's YSI Fun-raising?
It’s about raising awareness and raising funds at the same time. When you do one of these things, you have a unique opportunity of doing both. And it can be fun! So we call it “Fun-raising” to get that idea across. Raising awareness about social issues and how we can improve the lives of others - how
people are cared for in society is at the heart of every young social innovators (ysi’s) motivation when raising much needed funds.
What's the Challenge?
YSI challenges you to come up with creative ways to raise awareness and funds at the same time and enter your work into the new YSI Fun-raising Challenge!
Awareness and Funds for What?
You can create awareness about your project and/or about YSI to an audience of your choice. Fudns raised must go towards (a) the work of your YSI project, or (b) helping a related not-for-profit organisation, or (c) towards the work of YSI (at least 10% of funds raised will go to YSI as part of entry to this challenge).
Who Might Take up This Challenge?
Those of you who are undertaking a YSI project - because this will take your project further.
Those of you who have benefitted from YSI - because you want to help it to continue its work.
Those of you in the pilot YSI Centre programme - because this Challenge will help to create the YSI Centre.
How do I Enter the YSI Fun-Raising Challenge?
You must
download a YSI Fun-raising Challenge Entry Form and return to YSI giving details of your fun-raising activities.
