The Young Social Innovators programme is an initiative of Social Innovations Ireland, a charity established by Sr Stanislaus Kennedy in 2001. The mission of the organisation is to demonstrate and bring together creative and innovative responses to emerging and changing need in Ireland in the 21st century, particularly in the area of communities at risk of exclusion.

The current projects of Social Innovations Ireland are:

Young Social Innovators - a social awareness education programme for Transition Year students
Immigrant Council of Ireland - promoting the rights of immigrants through information, advocacy and awareness
Elders Project - the development of integrated services for older people.
