YSI Planning Workbook

This bright and colourful planning workbook is for young people undertaking a social action project.  It provides a clear guide through all elements of a social awareness action project.  It is packed with information, advice, worksheets, activities and ideas. Team members can use it as a project guide and planning tool.   This is a useful resource for all young people undertaking social action projects including in TY and LCA, in SPHE, CSPE and RE or in a youth club or youth services setting.

YSI Manual for Guides (free to YSI Guides)

This manual provides information, good practice guidelines and support to YSI Guides working with young people on YSI social action projects. It offers ideas and materials that will encourage confidence and competence in working with a team on a social action project, regardless of the theme or issue and education context or setting.  It includes useful photocopiable worksheets and activities.

Stop Talking and So Something - The Young Social Innovators Programme; An Independent Evaluation 2008

This publication is an independent evaluation of the inspirational journey that YSI has been on since it began in 2001. It highlights how the programme has grown to involve thousands of young people each year taking a stand on social justice issues and making a difference for those in need in their communities. It includes a comprehensive overview of the YSI Programme and therefore is a valuable resource for teachers and young people.

YSI Fun-raising Guide (only available to YSI guides) 

This Guide introduces you to concepts and tools which will help you understand the process of fun-raising. No matter if you are raising awareness and money for a new business or a social enterprise the same skills and steps are necessary for both. This guide also highlights the skills that are learnt during the fundraising process and provides hands on activities to help you along the way with your fun-raising efforts.
