YSI Facilitator Training
YSI provides training for educators and youth workers in the facilitation of youth-led social innovation. All YSI programmes are supported with dedicated training and resources to equip and empower educators with everything needed to facilitate a team of young people. Workshops also facilitate the sharing of knowledge and experience amongst new and returning participants.
Facilitating Youth-Led Social Innovation: Activate (Senior Cycle)
This workshop provides participants with the information and tools they need to guide teams through the Activate - Social Innovation Action Activate Programme (Senior Cycle). Participants learn about YSI’s Model of Social Innovation Learning and are introduced to new and dynamic learning techniques. Attendance enables educators to guide a team of young people through YSI ‘Pathway of Change’ and to understand the values of social innovation. The workshop provides an opportunity to connect and share ideas with new and experienced educators who are members of the Social Innovation Learning Network.

Innovation, Impact and Advocacy: Activate Programme
This workshop is designed for YSI Guides whose students have started their YSI journey and covers everything they need to successfully complete their projects. It offers a space for Guides to raise issues and share experience. It also provides information and tools on critical aspects of social innovation, such as critical thinking and advocacy. By completing this workshop, educators will be able to help young people to increase the social impact of their projects and complete the mandatory aspects of the Programme, such as the Speakout and the Report.

Facilitating Youth-Led Social Innovation: Ignite
This workshop is designed to support educators facilitating YSI’s Ignite - Social Innovation Action Programme (Junior Cycle). It is designed to be as experiential as possible, modelling some of the activities contained within it as well as providing a comprehensive overview of structure, activities, resources and the supports provided by YSI. It shows how the programme links to the overall junior cycle goals and the learning outcomes of particular curricula including CSPE, SPHE, RE and Wellbeing.

Facilitating YSI Design for Change
This workshop provides primary level educators with the information and tools they need to guide a team of children through YSI's Design for Change Programme. Participants learn about YSI’s Model of Social Innovation Learning as well as the international FIDS Framework developed by Design for Change and used by its partner organisations around the world to engage children in action-based innovation projects for social change. Participants will explore the resources made available by YSI to support the implementation of this programme and will feel confident using a range of innovative tools, techniques and learning methodologies to support young people to complete a project on an issue they care about.

Facilitating YSI's International Awards Programme
This is a 2-part module for educators interested in participating in YSI’s International Awards Programme. Part 1 focuses on introducing youth led social innovation and using YSI’s model and framework to amplify youth voice. Part 2 explores how the values, principles and methodologies of social innovation education can align with and enhance the school mission, and can be integrated into day-to-day practice and learning at the school.
Please note: Training dates will be arranged on a individual basis with schools, depending on their requirements.
