Workshop Description
The aim of the Social Innovation Workshop is to give young people the opportunity to gain an introduction to social innovation and understand how social innovation and design thinking can be used to address social issues.
Students will identify social issues affecting their school and local area. They will think about those affected by social issues and identify how products, services or campaigns can help to meet their needs. They will recognise the assets they have to help them address these issues: as individuals and communities.
By the end of this workshop student attendees should be able to:
- Talk about YSI and social innovation
- Identify the assets they have, as individuals and communities, to address social issues
- Identify the assets they have, as individuals and communities, to address social issues
