Workshop Description 

The aim of this workshop is to support young people at the ‘ideation’ stage of their YSI projects. Having identified a social issue to focus on, this workshop will enable them to start developing ideas to address the issue.

By the end of this workshop student attendees should be able to:

• Define design thinking
• Recognise how everyone can be innovators and designers
• Design an innovative idea, as part of a team
• Illustrate their ideas by making or drawing a prototype
• Express their idea and its benefit to the community
