Age Action is a charity which promotes positive ageing and better policies and services for older people.  Working with, and on behalf of, older people it aims to make Ireland the best place in the world in which to grow older. Age Action’s website provides information on services for older people in Ireland, ageing facts, tips on encouraging positive ageing in your community as well as publications and reports that can be downloaded or ordered for free.

Alone | Helping Older People in Need

Alone

ALONE supports older people in need through a befriending service, long-term housing and crisis support in the community. ALONE is there for older people who are in crisis and need emergency support in their own home, at risk of homelessness and need a place to live with some supports, lonely and would like someone to visit them on a regular basis,  isolated and wish to meet other older people and participate in social events. It also provides a list of publications relating to poverty and older people.
