YSI Module for Junior Cycle Now Being Piloted

Combined Shape Created with Sketch.

The Social Innovation Action Junior Cycle Module is an exciting new offering being piloted in a small number of schools this year! It aims to enable young people to understand social innovation and how it can help address social issues.

The Module allows participants to put important life skills into practice, making the learning experience engaging, interactive and fun. It consists of a series of active learning methodologies for young people in first, second or third year and includes undertaking a social advocacy campaign. Participants will be certified by YSI.

This year, we’re inviting a number of schools to take part in piloting this Module and we hope that, following this pilot and evaluation, we will be in a position to make it available to all schools from September 2016.

Teams can begin the Module at any point between mid-October and the end of February. It takes roughly 10 to 12 weeks to complete depending on allocated class time. All participants are asked to undertake an advocacy campaign for evaluation purposes.
