The winners of the inaugral 'Strong and Caring' Award, supported by Aviva Ireland were announced at the recent Young Social Innovators of the Year Awards. The YSI team from Cabinteely Community School was recognised for its Project Colour initiative that sought to promote inclusivity and autism awareness within their school community. The students created a sensory garden in their school to provide a sanctuary where students with ASD can seek refuge in a quiet, tranquil place away from the overwhelming school environment.

Brian O'Neill presented the award in person to the Cabinteely students on behalf of Aviva Ireland when he visited the school along with Naoimi Wardle, YSI's Local Leader in the area.

We are delighted to welcome Aviva Ireland as our Strong and Caring Communities partner. Through this partnership we will inspire, enable and recognise young people's innovative efforts to create stronger, more caring communities by creatively addressing the issues that matter to them.
