Climate emergency and our community, young people wanted to share their voice!

Cork City Council, in partnership with Young Social Innovators, is inviting young people to share their views and contribute to the Cork City Council Climate Change Adaptation Strategy during a special youth consultation event being hosted in Cork Chambers on 8th March 2023.

'Youth Voices for Climate Action' is a unique event that gives young people a meaningful opportunity to engage and have their voices and ideas heard by decision-makers on important issues relating to climate and the environment and how people can live and work more sustainably in Cork City.

Young people all over the world have been at the forefront of the Climate Action movement! We know the key role that young people can and must play in addressing the climate crisis. We can already see the impacts globally and locally.

We would like to invite two young people from your school/youth organisation to be representatives at this event to share their thoughts, opinions and ideas about what action they feel is important for young people and the climate emergency we are facing!

Young people needed: 2 per school/youth organisation
Date: 08 March
Time: 1:30pm - 3:30pm
Location: Cork Chambers
Deadline: 17 February

Please note: representatives should be aged 12-18 years and all attendees will be required to have written parental consent to attend.

Please feel free to contact us if you need any more information. You can register your youth representatives below. ⬇️
