'No Place Like Home' Invites YSI to Look Around their 'Mica Student Stance' Event 

The YSI Team from Loreto Secondary School in Letterkenny joined YSI for an Instagram Live during their 'Mica Student Stance' event organised in their school's Concert Hall.

Young people from the 'No Place Like Home' YSI Team spoke about how they were raising awareness about the issue of mica redress and showed support towards mica affected students and staff. The team showed us around the event, where they displayed art, photos, and information about their project. 

A survey carried out by the team found that the majority of students in Loreto Secondary School in Letterkenny have been affected in some way by mica. The event organised by the team aimed at highlighting the impact of mica on students and their mental health.

We aim to have a positive impact on young people to be the inspiring leaders and campaigners of tomorrow by using our voices to stand up to this topical mica ordeal.
