Why We Chose It

We chose the social issue of women's health because it directly affects us and our peers. As young women, we realised there's a lack of education and support surrounding women's health issues. We've witnessed firsthand the challenges and misconceptions that many girls face regarding their bodies and health. By addressing this issue, we hope to empower ourselves and our peers with knowledge and resources to navigate these challenges confidently. Our goal is to break down taboos, promote understanding, and create a supportive environment where girls feel empowered to advocate for their health and well-being.

Our Goal

Our main goal that we are hoping to achieve with our project is to help woman in our school community understand themselves and their bodies better. We believe that our project will eventually result in a healthier life for woman. We hope to raise awareness on woman health issues and to prepare woman for what they might go through in the future. We want periods and menopause to become less of a taboo topic. We are ultimately hoping to make womanhood less dauting.

Our Innovative Action

We've taken several actions to address women's health issues in our school community. We installed free period products in bathrooms to combat period poverty and organised workshops on nutrition and training during the menstrual cycle. We are collaborating with a local gynecologist to provide informational sessions on women's health. We will be facilitating self-care yoga sessions to promote wellbeing during menstruation. These actions aim to educate, empower, and support young women in navigating their health journey with confidence and knowledge.
