YSI Team see success in campaigning for community playground

YSI are delighted to share that the young team were successful in their campaign for a new community playground for young people in their area.

A team of Junior Cycle students from Knocknaheeny, Cork, decided to focus their YSI project on highlighting the need for a new play park for children in their area. The team from Terence MacSwiney Community College  have continued to campaign on the issue - from scripting and producing a rap video “The Play Ground Pledge” to speaking on local radio and engaging with local politicians.

The YSI team have seen great success from their project campaign - plans are now in place with the local council to put a new playground in the area.
