YSI hosts a Transition Year Work Experience Week every autumn. 

YSI was delighted to welcome nine Transition Year students for a week of work experience learning about social innovation and what it's like to work at a non-profit organisation.

The 2025 Programme took place from 3-7 November. Unfortunately, work experience will not be available at any other point during the 2025-2026 Academic Year. This was a hybrid experience with 4 days in YSI's office in Dublin and 1 day working from home.

Where possible, YSI prioritises a balance between pupils attending DEIS and non-DEIS schools, gender balance and pupils attending schools who have/ have not participated in YSI previously. Applications for this year's programme are now closed.
