YSI will host a Transition Year Work Experience Week this November. 

YSI was delighted to hold its first structured TY Work Experience Programme in Autumn 2024. 7 TY students took part in a week of work experience learning about various aspects of working at a non-profit organisation. 

The 2025 Programme will take place from 3-7 November 2025. Unfortunately, work experience will not be available at any other point during the 2025-2026 Academic Year. This is a hybrid experience with 4 days in YSI's office in Dublin and 1 day working from home.

Where possible, YSI prioritises a balance between pupils attending DEIS and non-DEIS schools, gender balance and pupils attending schools who have/ have not participated in YSI previously. 

Applications for this year's programme are now closed. Applicants will be notified of the outcome in early October. However, if you require an update before then, please contact us. We may be able to make accommodations on a case-by-case basis.
