Turning Youth Voice into Actionable Insight

Young people across Ireland and Europe have powerful ideas about the future, but too often their perspectives are fragmented, under-analysed, or disconnected from decision-making.

Echoboard is Young Social Innovators’ next step in changing that.

Developed through the Youth Pulse initiative, Echoboard is a digital insight and feedback framework designed to capture, synthesise and translate youth voice into meaningful, actionable intelligence for policymakers, institutions and organisations.

It is not simply another consultation tool.
It is a bridge between youth participation and real-world decision-making.

Why Echoboard?

Through Youth Pulse, we engaged young people across diverse communities to explore the issues shaping their lives from climate and mental health to education, democracy and social justice.

Alongside this, we undertook extensive European benchmarking and research to examine leading participation models, deliberative processes and digital civic platforms.

What we found was clear:

Echoboard is designed to close that gap.

What Is Echoboard?

Echoboard is a structured digital “translation layer” that:

It builds on YSI’s long-standing commitment to social innovation and accessibility for all young people aligned to the UN principle of Leave No One Behind and supports Ireland’s Programme for Government commitments on youth voice and social innovation.

From Research to Roadmap

The development of Echoboard is grounded in:

Together, this work forms the foundation for a scalable, ethical and impact-driven framework for youth participation across Ireland with potential for EU-wide development.
