Social Impact Fund Open!
Could your project team benefit from micro-grant funding to help realise their goals and increase their social impact in 2023?
The YSI Social Impact Fund, in partnership with the Community Foundation Ireland, is now open for applications. The deadline for applications to the fund is 13th January 2023. Successful applicants will be invited to pitch their ideas to a panel during one of three YSI Den events being held in February 2023.

About the Fund
The YSI Social Impact Fund is unique in that it is dedicated to supporting ideas created and led by young people to bring about positive social change. Supported by the Community Foundation Ireland, a €15,000 fund is being made available to teenagers working through YSI to address a wide range of social issues under the following themes:
- Health and Wellbeing
Innovate to help protect and promote mental and physical health and wellbeing and foster positive, nurturing relationships - Poverty Diversity and Inclusion
Innovate to help ensure all people feel valued, included and respected, and enjoy a basic standard of living and a place to call home - Strong and Caring Communities
Innovate to create caring and connected communities in which everyone has access to services, amenities and opportunities for employment - Fair and Equal Society
Innovate to build a society in which our education, housing, health and justice systems serve all equally and with dignity - Climate Action and Energy
Innovate to reduce harmful human impact to ensure that our environment and planet are protected for future generations - Protecting Life on Earth
Innovate to nurture and protect natural habitats, plant, and animal life to ensure their safety and continued survival
Who Can Apply?
In 2023, applications to the fund are by invite only. Those eligible to apply include teams participating in:
- Social Innovation teams taking part in YSI Activate
- Social Innovation teams taking part YSI Elevate
