Eimear has come up with an initiative to bring her whole community together, to create some beautiful art for everyone to enjoy, and to give young people the opportunity to get involved in something rewarding at this time.

It is important to Eimear that in a time like this, communities work together and stay connected with each other.

Her idea is a collaborative community art mural, which would be worked on by small groups of people at a time, with each group adding to the piece as they go.

Coordinating the work would be important so as to allow people to work safely in small groups whilst adhering to social distancing guidelines. Eimear plans to act as a coordinator for the groups, with people who wish to take part signing up with her and then groups being assigned a time for when they can work on their section of the mural. Each group would work separately until everyone has contributed and they have a beautiful piece of artwork for everyone in the community to enjoy.

Ensuring, of course, that permission is sought for the space to be used for the mural, Eimear’s project could really bring people together safely to create a lasting token of this time.
