Grainne had noticed that more and more people were staying in touch via phone and computer during the Covid-19 pandemic. All of a sudden, we begab to rely much more on text, calls, and video calls to speak to and see our loved ones, and this may not have been the norm for a lot of people.

Grainne wanted to create something to help people who were not comfortable with using phones, downloading apps to make video calls etc. Her goal was to help people stay connected with family and friends during this difficult time.

So she created a comprehensive tech support booklet, including guides on how to use a smartphone, the internet, create an email account and a Whatsapp profile; tasks which for some people are second nature, but for others may be challenging and may prevent them from staying in touch with their loved ones who may live far away from them.

As we learn to stay connected in this new way, we rely more and more on our phones and computers. This may be daunting for some people, but with Grainne’s booklet it becomes a little easier.
