Molly and her team’s idea for the #YSIOpenCall is a service to help essential businesses continue to serve their customers without putting anyone at risk, staff and customers included. The idea is to set up a drone delivery service in her local area, allowing businesses to work together and combine deliveries, so that people can stay at home instead of having to go out to buy goods.

Molly and her team were inspired by wanting the people in their lives, like their grandparents, to be able to stay safe in their homes but still get what they need like grocery shopping and medication. Other people in their community like those with children who have no access to childcare at the moment, would benefit from this service and help to stop the spread of the virus.

A service such as this would have a positive impact also on the businesses delivering. As in-store sales have reduced dramatically, being able to deliver direct to customers would help to increase sales once again and help to keep businesses open.
