Nina’s idea for the #YSIOpenCall addresses the impact on people’s mental health, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. She could see that the current situation had left many people with little to do, being forced to stay home from school and work, and that this could impact negatively on their mental wellbeing.

Nina wanted to tackle this issue by designing something positive for people to do, whilst allowing them to express themselves and pass the time creatively.

She came up with ‘Welcome to The Bordedome’, a book full of activities to pass the time. It has a journal section, art and writing prompts, trivia, personality tests and fact files.

Nina says her book will ‘relieve your brain of its boredom during quarantine’.
